Discussion about the technology about the management of sharing e-bikes

With the rapid development of cloud computing/Internet and big data technologies, the sharing economy has gradually become an emerging model in the context of technological revolution and industrial chain transformation.

As an innovative model of the sharing economy, sharing e-bikes have been developed rapidly and applied in many places. While it meets the personnels needs about short-distance travel, sharing e-bikes have caused some troubles, such as put too much sharing e-bikes in the roads/the riders have dangerous behaviors while riding, which have brought great pressure to urban management.

Therefore,it’s worth to ponder that how to improve the smart management of the sharing e-bikes with technology.

In the process of using a sharing e-bike, it has four main steps:1. scan the QR code, 2.unlock the e-bike, 3.riding the e-bike,4.return the e-bike. Some riders have dangerous behaviors while riding and parked the e-bike disorderly,they are the main reason which cause the chaos of the e-bikes.The illegal riding behaviors and disorderly parking in the process of using the bike are important reasons for the disorder of the bike.

Therefore,it is necessary to detect the riding status and the parking position of sharing e-bikes in real time,manage the sharing e-bikes remotely with GEO fence and no-parking sites.And it can remind of the users to obey the rules while riding the e-bikes,such as when they ride the e-bike with people in the back seat /ride the e-bike out of the operation area/park the the e-bike disorderly/doesn’t wear the helmet while riding the e-bike/doesn’t obey the traffic rules.

Riding the e-bike without bad behavior

 

In order to monitoring and detect the behavior of the users while they riding the e-bike, we can install the AI camera on the e-bike,combine the AI technology/big data management with two-wheeler application. The AI camera can record the riders behaviors in real time. When the user runs the red light, rides in the lane, or goes the wrong way, the e-bike will play a broadcast to remind the rider and capture&upload the pictures about bad behavior.

Management about parking the e-bike

Configure the GEO fence for the operation area and the no-parking sites of the sharing e-bikes, it has solved the issues about the users parked the e-bike disorderly and dispatched the e-bikes. However,the effect of the GEO fence is not very wonderful, it cant detect the parking direction of the e-bike.So the auxiliary positioning system on the ground is needed, it can guide the e-bike the direction about parking according to the data of GPS. Only the e-bike meet the requirements, then it can be returned.

Supply power to the e-bike

For a city with hundreds of thousands of sharing e-bikes, supply power to the e-bike regularly is a huge task for the o&m staff. The operator can plan & install the road studs which has the function about charge the e-bike without electric cables.On the one hand, it can effectively guide users to park the e-bikes orderly; on the other hand, the e-bike can be charged,it has reduced the cost and pressure of battery replacement for operators.

The road studs (has the function about charge the e-bike without electric cables) have adopted the wireless magnetic resonance charging technology. As long as the e-bike is parked within a certain distance of the road studs, it can charge the e-bike automatically. If

 

the e-bike is not parked in the suitable place,then it is not be able to be returned.

 

Distribution about the data

The management system can make full use of big data to manage the sharing e-bike, such as put the sharing e-bikes/recycle the sharing e-bikes/maintenance the sharing e-bikes and so on. For example, the number about put the sharing e-bikes and the congestion situation of the parking site can be analyzed through the algorithm, so as to confirm whether the e-bikes are reasonable to be put in the market, and take effective measures to supervise the area.

 

At the same time, the operator can analyze and make statistics on the data for all parking sites of their usage rate. The sharing e-bikes can be managed well and dispatched effectively,and its usage rate can be improved too. The riding state and position of sharing e-bikes can be checked in real-time through itBesides, the operator can dispatch and maintain the sharing e-bikes which hasn’t been rode for long time. It’s helpful for the operator to run the business about sharing mobility better and better.
